marianne-2Marianne & Garrett chose our favorite venue – the Hawthorne House!!!

(My daughter got married there…)

The Hawthorne House in Parkville, Missouri has a beautiful chapel that reminds you of a chapel in a small town, very quaint and very simply beautiful.  We also enjoyed seeing Mark & Shauna Leonard of Mark Leonard Photography.  If you are looking for a photographer that will capture all of the special moments of your wedding, look no further than Mark Leonard Photography.

Probably the most unique thing about this wedding was this incredible lamp that the family passes down from one couple to another and they must add a decoration to it before presenting it to its new owner.  I’ve seriously never seen anything like it, but we do have some photostrips of it, so you can check it out.

This was a great reception.  Lots of family, lots of love.  Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of such a special day!

My last entry I said I thought those guests had the best time with the photobooth.  I stand corrected!!!!

Chris and Chuck reserved the Most Pure Heart of Mary Parish Center in Topeka for their wedding reception.

You know, everywhere we take the photobooth people have a great time.  But, if you could score a group of people as having the best time ever with the photobooth, I think this group of people would win first place.  Chris reserved the photobooth after winning our drawing at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show in Topeka in January 2009.

Adam & Whitney were the on site coordinators since I was in Sanibel Island.  Well, I had to sneak a vacation before the summer weddings begin!

Let the fun begin!!!!!

leah-jason-2Leah and Jacob chose the Hobbs Building, also known as Feasts of Fancy, for their reception.  Have I mentioned how much we love the Hobbs Building?

Leah provided a graphic design that we used for their customized 4th frame.  It was awesome!  You can see it on the photostrips.

This is a great couple that clearly must love each other since one of them went to KU and the other to KState and still found common ground.  Seriously, they are a great couple and the reception was fabulous!  The band was out of this world!

It’s too bad we have to choose just a few photostrips…there were a lot of creative guests at this reception.  You know who you are!!!!

justin-jodi-11Jodi and Justin reserved the Wynbrick Center in Liberty for their wedding and reception.  This is a very nice venue if you are planning an intimate wedding.  They have an outdoor patio/deck area as well as an area inside for your guests to have dinner.  The owners are great to work with and really want your day to be special.  You can even spend the night there if you wish!

Jodi and Justin have to be the most enthusiastic couple that I have ever worked with.  They planned their wedding far enough in advance that I know I saw them at more than one bridal show.  If you have the time, it’s a good idea to plan early to make sure you get the vendors you want.

We watched the ceremony from outside, so sweet.  Then it was time to move the photobooth inside.  (Since the Wynbrick is a smaller venue, the bride wanted us to wait until after the ceremony to set up.)  Moving inside proved to be a challenge.  It was a beautiful evening, so we set up on the porch under the awning and had a great time.

Angie and Christin were our on site coordinators, but we could see Jodi and Justin as on site coordinators in the future.  They are a great couple and truly love the photobooth as much as we do.

We wish them the best of everything!

jason-darcyDarcy and Jason were destined to have a photobooth at their wedding reception.  How do I know that?  Well, they are the only couple so far that has come to our office to take pictures, that I use to create a large photostrip to decorate the photobooth for the wedding reception, got in the photobooth, took one photostrip and liked every picture and decided they were done.  Most couples will take 4 – 8 photostrips to choose 4 good pictures, but no, Darcy and Jason took one!  I’ve got to admit, they did a great job.

Darcy and Jason had their wedding reception at the Uptown Theatre.  The Uptown is so cool.  If you are looking for a venue, you should definitely check it out.  They put your name on the marquis, Darcy tossed her bouquet from a high balcony, and the band had a huge stage to perform.

The decor was fabulous.  They really thought of everything for this reception.  Great crowd, great event!

Adam and Whitney were our on site coordinators.

We received a thank you note from Darcy:

“I am so thankful we hired you to bring your photobooth to our wedding!  It was so fun to look at the pictures and messages the very next day.  The scrapbook will be a keepsake we will cherish forever!  Everything ran so smoothly!  I was impressed!  Thank you, Darcy”

Thank you Darcy for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

Megan and Jack rented our photobooth for their wedding reception which was held at the Hobbs Building, also known as Feasts of Fancy.

We love the Hobbs Building.  Every wedding reception we have gone to there has been a PARTY!  It seems a little odd that one venue can guarantee that your guests are going to have a great time, but apparently the Hobbs Building can do just that.

The day started off wet.  By the time we got the photobooth in the building, we were soaked.  Thank goodness for our new waterproof covers for the photobooths.  Fortunately, later that afternoon the weather changed completely and it was a beautiful day.  So happy for all of our April 18th couples.

This was such a great couple and their guests were so much fun!

Happy wedding!  Happy Life!

Grain Valley High School rented our photobooth for their prom which was held at the Marriott in downtown Kansas City.

Their theme was “Midnight Masquerade” and the decorations were awesome.

Jena and Jen were our on site coordinators.  They said everyone had a great time.  However, there was a group of students that had some bad luck with their limo breaking down.  So, we stayed and let them use the photobooth as long as they wanted after everyone else left.  It sounds like they were able to salvage a great prom out of an unfortunate delay in arrival.

We gave away some acrylic picture frames for the photostrips and everyone enjoyed the novelty of the photobooth.  See some pictures below.

April 18th will always be the first day that KC Photobooth provided four photobooths for four different events on the same day.  Everything went great and we ended up at IHOP at 2:00 am.

Bridget and Tony’s photobooth experience began with their Save the Date’s.  They came over and took some pictures for Save the Date magnets.  How cool is that?

You’ll notice a unique customization on each photostrip at the wedding.  Bridget and a friend designed the 4th frame and emailed it to me to load on the photobooth.  I think that is a priceless memory; working on your wedding with your friends.

Bridget and Tony’s wedding reception was at the Meadowbrook County Club in Prairie Village.  The view of the golf course is awesome!  The event coordinator at Meadowbrook is Linda Freeman and she is the nicest person you could ever ask for to help you plan your wedding.  Awesome facility, awesome staff! bridgets-sister1bridget-tony-11bridget-tony-together1

Everyone had a great time being creative in the photobooth, but I have to say one guy wins the prize!

We traveled to Hamilton, Missouri to bring the photobooth to our first After Prom.  My husband asked me what time the After Prom started.  My response, “After Prom”.  He thought midnight was a little late to start a four hour photobooth rental.  I think the key is telling yourself it’s 11:30 when it is really 2:30.

Seriously, we had a great time.  The students of Hamilton Penney High School are fabulous!  They enjoyed using some of the props that the After Prom committee provided to go along with their theme of Mardi Gras.  I’ve never seen so many necklaces.  But, in a day where we hear so many negative reports about our youth, I have to say I was so impressed with this particular group of young people.

Near the end of the evening I could see some of them were getting a little tired, so I decided it was time to step it up a notch…I had one couple get in the photobooth, but as soon as the first picture snapped they had to exit out one side while another couple entered the other side.  After they had their picture taken, the two girls got in, then the two guys.  Watching them run around the photobooth, jumping in and out before the photobooth snapped the next picture was hilarious!

This was something new for their After Prom, but as much fun as everyone had, I expect it won’t be the last.
