How could I forget to mention that we were at the KC Bridal Show at Crown Center?

This was our first time and we had a great time meeting a lot of brides!

Thank you to everyone who came out and Congratulations to Melanie Gray for winning $500.00 off of a photobooth rental!

Below are just a sample of some of the fun people we met…

Dear Patty,

The photobooth was a HUGE hit!  Everyone loved it and tried it out a number of times.  The book that was made is awesome and the girls that came to work the booth were fun, helpful and funny.  I’ve already talked to so many people and one thing that is always said (after “the bride was so pretty”) is the photobooth was such fun!

I truely enjoyed working with you and hearing your story about how the photobooth came to be here in KC.  It was also nice that you recently put on Whitney’s wedding and knew exactly what I was going through and had helpful advice.  There is no doubt that one of the reasons “our” wedding will be memorable is because of the photobooth.  Thank you for making it such a hit.  Please thank the girls who were running the booth.  The one who always held my drink and offered the caption “Father, Son and Holy Spirit” for the time we were in the booth when the prayer started will be part of our wedding memories too.

Best of Luck in all you Do!

On August 29, 2009, the Student Union Activities office provided a Carnival for the KU students and faculty.  They had carnival rides, air brush tatoos, games, and KC Photobooth!

Adam and Max were our on site coordinators for the evening and they reported the photobooth was absolutely not stop all evening.  Everyone was having a blast!  We still had some students wanting to use the photobooth when the event was over!

It’s always fun to see people enjoying the photobooth.  Here’s some sample pics…

Kelsey and DannyKelsey and Danny selected the Holidome in Lawrence, Kansas as their reception venue.  This is such a fun couple!  So, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that they would know a lot of fun people and as far as Whitney and Katrina, our onsite coordinators, could tell…they all showed up!

There was a line for the photobooth the entire reception, so Kelsey and Danny decided to extend the rental another hour.  The guests were very appreciative!

Okay, earlier I said we try very hard to not disrupt the evening’s events with the photobooth and that’s true!  However, right after Whitney pressed the button to start the photobooth for one couple, she heard one of the bridesmaids begin her speech.  Fortunately, we were set up at the back of the ballroom, however, some of the guests certainly heard, “5-4-3-2-1….Come Back Soon!” during the heartfelt speech.  We did halt taking pictures even though the guests in line were ready to have some fun in the photobooth.  Let’s see how they did…

Krista and MikeKrista and MikeKrista and Mike chose to have their wedding and reception at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.  This is a beautiful church and the gym was transformed with fabric by Celebrations to create a beautiful reception.  Lots of friends and family to celebrate Krista and Mike’s marriage.

The photobooth was located in an adjacent room that quickly became a destination.  According to Jen and Doug, our onsite coordinators, the photobooth was busy all night long.

What is the best way to end a photobooth rental?  With the bride and her parents in the photobooth ofcourse.  The only thing that can top that picture is the one that followed with the bride’s parents providing a perfect role model of a loving marriage.  I just love being allowed to participate in such loving events!

Melissa and MattMelissa and Matt are such a cute couple.  When they came over for the pictures for their large photostrip, you could see how much they love each other.

When I arrived at the Ritz Charles to pick up the photobooth at the end of the evening, the party was still going strong!  Guests in the photobooth, guests on the dance floor, everyone was having a great time.  The Ritz Charles is located at 137th and Antioch and is a really great venue with really awesome staff.

One story we must tell….you know we do try very hard to enhance the evening with the photobooth, but never interrupt or disrupt important times during the reception.  Well, it has never happened before, and hopefully it will never happen again, but as soon as Jena, one of our onsite coordinators, pushed the button to begin taking pictures in the photobooth for the mother of the bride and a friend, she heard, “Let us pray.”  One thing that photobooths do not do well, reverse.  It was embarassing, but the bride’s mother was forgiving.  Let’s see some of the other fun….

Jessica & DennisJessica and Dennis chose the Community Center at Peirson Park in Kansas City, Kansas for their wedding reception.  The whole family got involved with decorations and the food.  And when I say family that includes a lot of the Kansas City Kansas Firefighters also.  Jessica’s father is a firefighter for KCK and I can testify to the fact that if you have firefighters in charge of anything, the job is as good as done.  But, if there is one thing that firefighters excel in, it’s food.  Awesome cooks!

It was so great to see so many show up to help with the set up.  That is true family!!

According to our onsite coordinators, Angie and Christin, everyone had a blast with the photobooth.  Several had never heard of renting a photobooth before.  Here’s the crew…

Tuscan Ballroom at Liberty Hills Country Club

September 4th, 2009

On August 28, 2009, we were invited to an Open House at the Tuscan Ballroom at Liberty Hills Country Club.  If you haven’t been to the Liberty Hills Country Club since the Tuscan Ballroom has begun planning the events there, well, you have a treat in store.  All of the spaces have been updated and they provide an indoor ceremony space, ballroom, and a separate bar which is where we set up.  It is very spacious!

They have painted and updated the decor, but the mahogany chiavari chairs are magnificient!  The view of the golf course is beautiful.  If you are looking for a venue, you should visit the Tuscan Ballroom at the Liberty Hills Country Club.  And yes, we did taste the food…really, really good!

Here’s a few of the people we met at the Open House….

Stephanie and TomBeautiful couple, beautiful venue, beautiful evening!

Stephanie and Tom chose Union Station for their wedding reception and Dan Meiner’s Studio transformed the Sprint Hallway with draped fabric and magnificient florals.  We set up the photobooth beside a lamp post, very cool!

The father/daughter dance was awesome!  First Stephanie and her father danced a very traditional dance, followed by a shall we say, non-traditional, cut loose, very fun dance.  You could see the love between father and daughter and the father’s speech was priceless.  He spoke of how this wedding was his economic stimulus package!  I’m sure every father feels that way!

The photobooth was a hit like always.  The younger guests certainly keep Jena and Meggan, our on site coordinators, busy.  Let’s see below….

Nothing says unlimited photostrips like holding up a “fan” of photostrips.  Wouldn’t you agree?
