The Westminister Christian Academy held an Italian Bistro themed fundraiser to raise money for the school. The silent and live auctions were FILLED with goodies from a free 44 oz. drink from Sonic everyday for a year to six third and fourth row tickets to the KU vs. MU game in Allen Fieldhouse! We can only imagine the success of the fundraiser when the KU/MU tickets alone sold for $4500!! Other big ticket items included a photobooth rental, dinner with the Westminister pastor AND dinner for six at Bill Self’s house with Bill Self and the rest of the coaches on the KU Basketball staff! Clearly someone at Westminister Christian Academy has the hook ups!

The Forster Family Fun Fall Festival was hosted at the Forster Family barn. We were glad to be involved in this event, as all the proceeds for the rental went to the Shadow Buddies Foundation, making up part of the $150,000 that was raised at their charity event in September.

The Forster Family celebrated Dan’s birthday with a 50’s theme extravaganza! The cake was amazing! Fitting the theme perfectly, it was a Juke Box surrounded by records. The décor was festive in pink and black. There were Root Beer Float candles, a mini diner and soda shop and even Karaoke!! To wrap up the evening, Dan (the birthday boy) was dressed as Elvis complete with a wig and huge sunglasses!

What a wonderful wedding! What a sweet family! This is our second time at the Hilton President and we were honored to be a part of Stephanie and Nick’s wedding reception. You could easily feel the love between Stephanie and her family and of course, Stephanie and Nick! From the stories of Stephanie’s childhood to the bride and her sister hamming it up in the photobooth, it was a great evening! The gorgeous reception hall was decorated with ivory and hydrangeas and filled with dancing and music provided by Danny with Elite Encore Entertainment.

They produced some Grade A photobooth pictures, but my personal favorite is the picture of Stephanie’s sister and her boyfriend. The bow fell off the back of her bridesmaid dress, so she gave it to her boyfriend to use as a bow tie and traded for his tie (which she tied around her head). Classic. J Enjoy!

Kayla and Shane invited their guests to Loose Mansion to celebrate their wedding reception. The photos were taken by Phoenix Photography and the cake was done by Caren’s Cakes, so we’re certain it was fantastic! Very reminiscent of Adam and Whitney’s wedding, the Bride and Groom left the reception in a 1954 Bentley provided by Pech Limousine. We can tell from the pictures that everyone enjoyed the evening, but everyone knows it went well when the Mother of the Bride said everything went perfectly! Congratulations to Kayla and Shane! We are so glad that everything was perfect and thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day!

Christy and Al’s wedding reception took place at Club 1000. Is it just me or have we been to Club 1000 and Lodge at Ironwoods a lot lately? Club 1000 is a very unique venue. It has an urban chic feel, while being an intimate room for a great party. They have lounge seating for those who like to mingle and dance space for those who like to party in between trips to the photobooth! The tables were decorated with beautiful crystal centerpieces and after all the fun had come to an end, the bride and groom were sent off with sparklers! Enjoy all the great pictures!

Jennifer and Dave chose the Lodge at Ironwoods for their wedding reception. The room was beautifully decorated with every detail given attention. The table assignments were found in the shape of a leaf attached to a Granny Smith apple. The cake topper showcased two “love birds”, one with a tux and top hat and the other with a wedding veil. The centerpieces were inspiring with green apples, branches and hedge apples. The guests’ favor was a little lantern. A tag attached explained that lanterns have been a symbol of welcoming people into your home throughout history and the other side thanked each guest for being a part of the bride and groom’s lives. Finally, the bridal party all toasted and drank from their shoes! Not really sure why, but it was certainly unique!!

Along with all the elegant decor, the guests took some GREAT photobooth pictures! Angie and Christin said the photobooth was busy all evening! Here are some of the best shots!

What a great turnout for the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show on Sunday! We had a great time talking with all the brides, grooms and family and taking some AWESOME pictures! There were so many great pictures that I had to choose more than usual! Thanks to everyone who came out and we look forward to being a part of your weddings in 2009, 2010 and beyond!
