The Premiere of The Big Reveal was such a wonderful success! Imagine a Bridal Show mixed with First Fridays in the Crossroads District mixed with a Bar Crawl and you’ve got The Big Reveal! Brides and Grooms were escorted around 7 different venues in the Crossroads District including: Nara, The Gown Gallery, The Hemingway Gallery, Studio B, Retro Downtown, Cellar 222, and Stacey Schmitz Photography. Limos, Party Buses and Trolleys transported everyone from venue to venue to enjoy free wine tastings, mini makeovers, sushi, dance lessons, KC Photobooth photostrips and couples/group photos by professional photographers….All for just $10!

An after party was hosted at Grinder’s with the band 90 Minutes providing live music! Also, all guests were entered into a drawing to win one of over 35 different prizes from vendors involved in The Big Reveal!

What an innovative idea turned successful event! We hope that The Big Reveal will become bigger and better with each event! Thanks to everyone who came out and made the premeire event such a success!

KC Photobooth would like to extend a BIG thank you to Jennifer Sinnet of Pro DJ KC for putting her innovative idea into action! We were so happy to be involved with the first event and can’t wait for future events!

On May 3, 2010, the Hilton at KCI hosted an Open House for all current Brides and Grooms. We were invited to attend and got to talk to a lot of great couples!

The Shoal Creek Country Club Bridal Show was very well attended! It is so much fun to see the excitement on people’s faces when they first hear about having a photobooth at a wedding reception! No matter their budget, the vast majority of Brides fall in love with the idea of seeing their guests have so much fun taking ridiculous pictures! And the best part is being able to take a book filled with great pictures of family and friends along with their personal messages of congratulations!

We were invited to be a part of a Bridal Show at Macy’s in the Oak Park Mall on April 17, 2010! What better way to spend a Saturday than to get some photobooth pictures AND shop in Macy’s?

WOW! We have been so incredibly busy we are TWO MONTHS behind on the blog!! Where did the time go?

Since my last post, we have done 46 events!! So catching up on the blog is going to be quite the task…especially considering that our summer is still in full swing!

Deer Creek Bridal Shows are always a great time! And this one was no disappointment. You may think that you have to look downtown to find a great venue…not true! There are a ton of great venues in Overland Park and Deer Creek is one of the best! Check out all the fun!

It’s Spring again! Time for the Perfect Wedding Guide Spring 2010 Bridal Show!! We always have fun meeting with so many brides in one spot! Thank you so much to everyone who came out, and we’re looking forward to a whole new season of weddings!

And introducing two of our newest members to the KC Photobooth team: Chris and Chelsey Kusek! As a former KC Photobooth Bride and Groom (July 11, 2009), these two are PERFECT to help at Bridal Shows, weddings and other events. Plus, they’re just wonderful people!

Powell Gardens is not only a wonderful place to visit on an afternoon off with family, but what a beautiful place for a wedding! The chapel (seats around 150) is breath-taking!

We were lucky enough to take part in the “Love in Bloom” Bridal Show! What a great turn out!

This was our first time to the John Knox Village. What a cool space! Despite the inclimate weather, there was still a pretty good turn out at this new Bridal Show.

We DID get to meet some of the Mix 93 DJs…Steve Serrano and Swank came by and took some pictures!

Despite some terrible car accidents due to bad road conditions, Sunday’s PWG show went very well. Not only did we get to see some brides that we had met before at WHITE and the Tuscan Ballroom, we met some new brides and got to know a few vendors a little better.

Check out their website (www.photosedge.com) and you’ll see why we recommend them. Wow. If you’re looking for something modern and filled with passion, you should definitely check out Erin and Marco with Photos Edge. The funny thing is, they shot the pictures for our friend’s wedding (Matt & Meaghan) and we didn’t even know it! Check out their wedding pictures on facebook. They’re awesome! Plus, your photographers are people who you will spend the whole day with, so you really need to mesh well with them. These two are so fun, I’d be surprised if you didn’t feel the same way!
 

Berry Good Video – Jordan & Carrie (www.berrygoodvideo.com)
Jordan & Carrie’s booth was right across from ours, so I was watching their promo video all day…it’s awesome! Did you know that Stephanie Iway (8/22/2009) used Berry Good Video? Maybe the photobooth was showcased in that video!

Have you ever heard of a Same Day Edit? Jordan and Carrie will create a video of getting ready and leading up to the ceremony to be shown at your reception! What a great time to see what the morning was really like for your husband or wife and for your guests to get a behind-the-scenes look into just how much you love each other!

We’re so glad we got to get to know both of these vendors better on Sunday. It is always good to meet vendors that you can truly recommend: that have great work and great personalities!
